FAQ

Why does Apple Mail dominate?+

It's the default mail app on every iPhone, iPad and Mac, and Litmus counts where an email is opened, not who hosts the mailbox. A Gmail or Outlook.com account read on an iPhone counts as Apple Mail. Litmus measured 62% in July 2026.

Is there a split by industry or for B2B?+

Not from Litmus. It publishes one list across all the senders it tracks, which leans towards consumer email. If you mostly email businesses, expect far more Outlook on your own list. Your tracker's email client breakdown is the number to trust for your list.

Nate SummersCo-Founder, Outsolvi

Nate built Outsolvi after watching every email-tracking tool he had ever used lie to him about opens. Outsolvi grades every open as a person or a machine, in Outlook and Gmail, so the number on the dashboard is one a rep can actually act on.
